WINE ENTHUSIAST 93 points

Château Picque Caillou, 2018 White
93 Points. This wine has a texture that moves away from crispness to a more generous, rounded character. It offers a tangy edge that contrasts the ripe apple and pear flavors. The wood aging, still underway, is a subtle hint in the background.

ROBERT PARKER- The Wine Advocate 90- 92 points

Château Picque Caillou, 2018 White
90-92 Points. The Picque Caillou 2018 Blanc has intense scents of fresh lime juice, green mangos and fresh pears with touches of orange blossom, chalk dust and yuzu. Light to medium-bodied, it sports a crisp line of freshness cutting through the intense citrus and tropical fruit layers, finishing long and chalky.

WEINWISSER Note: 18/20 2024-2038

Château Picque Caillou, 2018 Red
A dense purple-garnet hue. Lovely aromas of ripe forest fruit followed by notes of blackberry jelly and elderberry essence.  A powerful, silky palate underpinned by ripe tannins with good breed showing through. A concentrated finish with lovely black fruit flavours mingling with elegant minerality and Brazilian tobacco. On a par with the previous vintage and therefore a definite recommended buy.

Château Picque Caillou, 2018 Red
91-93 Points. Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Picque Caillou leaps from the glass with bold notes of blackcurrant cordial, blueberry pie and preserved plums with hints of damp soil, truffles and camphor. Full-bodied, it gives mouth-filling black fruits with loads of minty sparks and a firm, chewy frame, finishing long and earthy.
