Château Picque Caillou, 2023 White
Very pretty depth of fruit here, with sliced green pears, apples and minerals, as well as some crushed stone. It’s medium-bodied, bright and flavorful. Nice balance to it.
Wine Enthusiast (Roger Voss) rating: 93 Pts
Château Picque Caillou, 2023 White
This estate, surrounded by the urban sprawl of Bordeaux, is an oasis of calm. This white, crisp and still young with citrus and spice aromas, has lemon and lightly herbal flavors. It has fine potential, drink from 2026.
Le Figaro (Ella Lister and Béatrice Delamotte)
Château Picque Caillou, 2023 White
An enticing nose of ripe apples with oaky notes mingling with hints of fresh almonds, vanilla cream and lemon curd. The palate is fresh with tension and minerality and shows a certain generosity. Notes of lime and bergamot lead on to a pleasantly bitter and very mouth-watering finish.
Terre de Vins rating: 93-94 pts
Château Picque Caillou, 2023 White
An elegant nose that is at first floral then exotic with notes of lime tree leaves, orchard blossom and citrus fruit coming through. This is a tender, textured wine with grain and volume. The aromas found on the nose also come through on the palate, together with hints of lemon, white pepper and eucalyptus. The finish is long and fresh.

Château Picque Caillou, 2023 Red
A bright and succulent red with good concentration of fruit in the center-palate, medium body and a velvety texture.
Le Figaro (Ella Lister and Béatrice Delamotte)
Château Picque Caillou, 2023 Red
A concentrated mineral nose of blue and black fruits with undertones of flower petals coming through with a very agreeable powdery touch. On the palate, the finesse seems to be concealed behind the influence of the barrel, despite a certain freshness.
Vinous (Antonio Galloni) rating: 90-92 Pts
Château Picque Caillou, 2023 Red
The 2023 Picque Caillou is a tasty, refined Pessac-Léognan. Floral top notes and mid-weight structure emphasize the more refined side of the appellation. All the elements are impeccably balanced. Lovely red/purplish-toned fruit opens first, followed by hints of spice and crushed flowers that lend nuance. Well-integrated tannins further add to an impression of finesse.
Terre de Vins rating: 91-92 pts
Château Picque Caillou, 2023 Red
In keeping with the classic beauty of the château of this estate, the wine conveys balance, elegance and charm. The tannins are finely coated, releasing flavours of blackberry jam with liquorice notes developing in the finish. The very seductive nose of red berry fruits and elderberry flowers should also be appreciated.
